Why is this year's program so lame? Who doesn't get 500 steps/day? Not worth wearing a fitbit for this! Bring back last year's program. Also, at $5/month, how are you going to get $25 gift cards?
I agree that the exercise portion of this program is NOT a wellness program. I wonder if this change in the incentive program for exercise was the result of a careful study by the medical and actuarial staff or a hasty result of pressure from some manager with an accounting degree. Really makes me loose trust in Humana.
Our goal in relation to the changes was to simplify the overall experience for our members. We support a vast array of members, of all ability levels, and aim to provide the most equal opportunity for all. To do this, we realigned our activities and rewards to what was most often utilized in our membership history, across all populations.
We certainly encourage the continuation of exemplary physical activity/fitness, and it does not go unnoticed!
I agree that the 2019 version of go365 rewards is completely stupid and misguided. I'm not even going to bother anymore with the program at all. I agree with the comment about cost being the prime motivator behind this.
To management: if you truly want to inspire people to get healthier by, for example, walking, you need to encourage people to walk at least 10,000 steps a day. I'm sure most people walk 500 steps a day just going to the john! Get real people!
