I really dislike the changes to the go365 incentive for exercising. So I only have to exercise 8 days a month -- and only 500 steps? If this program's goal is to motivate people to exercise, it has failed.
We apologize with the frustrations you are having. We want to let you know the Go365 program is completely voluntary to you. Yes, we may have lowered the desired goal for exercise activities, but we did happen to increase the values of the prevention activities. We mention this because it is another alternative to earn some free rewards!
Thank you for writing back. I just know you no longer have an exercise incentive. Yes, it is voluntary and I will use my Fitbit to get the mandatory
500 steps for 8 days a month — then rely on my Apple Watch to track my real exercise (the watch has me exercising more than the Fitbit ever has). I have not decided if I will share it with Go365 or not.
It reminds me when a company I worked for used to pay for health club dues as long as you went a certain amount of time. The company decided to drop the paying health club dues and the reason I was told by those in charge was that the people who were going to exercise were going to exercise whether or not they were paid for their health club. Those who were on the fence about exercising probably were not participating except the minimum amount of time — if that so did not lose out. I’m sure the participation in your program is the same. Those of us who exercise are going to exercise whether or not the incentives are higher. I will participate because $5.00 is $5.00; my husband — who I had almost convinced to participate this year due to the great program — said not for $5.00.
Incentives: Let’s talk about the incentives that you talk about. I love the annual checkup within 6 months. Sorry, but I had my annual checkup at the end of December. Doesn’t count. My next appointment for my next annual checkup does not take place until July. Won’t count. I’m just out of luck, even though I faithfully see my doctor twice a year.
So yes, I am glad that Go365 exists, but by placing that “within 6 months” exclusion on the incentive, it does not allow many of us to collect who are on an end of year and July program; I get my labs done in June — will that count towards my annual checkup even though I do not see the doctor until July?
One more thing… I contacted Go365 through chat. I registered a social event — the Skyway Bridge 10K and it accidentally registered three times. Support said the two items would be removed within 24 hours. It’s been much longer and they are still there. I do not want to claim something I did not earn.
Please do not take this email as a negative. I know how hard it is to promote a healthy lifestyle and try to get people to change their lifestyles… I live with my husband! Stating it’s “completely voluntary to you” — kind of suggests if you don’t like it, just don’t do it; kind of is a slam to those of us who use Go365. I used your system last year as an incentive to exercise more… this year that incentive to exercise more will be coming from me alone — not Go365.
