I have only used 5mg of Melatonin, as well as nighttime tea. Do you think 10mg of Melatonin is OK? Any suggestion is appreciated.

I am sorry that you had so much trouble sleeping. I have a lot of trouble sleeping as well. I have tried 10 mg of melatonin with no problems. It works a little bit better then 5 mg. The problem is that you have to take it about a half an hour before you want to go to sleep. You need to try and go to sleep at the same time every night. You also need to try and have no distractions right before you go to sleep or a completely messes everything up with your sleep patterns. At least it does for me. This doesn’t always make your sleep completely better but it at least helps you sleep slightly better. At least that was the case for me. I hope this helps.
